Under the general supervision and guidance of the Private Sector Fundraising Specialist, the officer contributes to the implementation of Egypt Country Office (ECO) private sector fundraising strategic plan. The officer is responsible for mapping, researching, analyzing and screening potential partnerships against UNICEF procedures.

How can you make a difference?

Under the general supervision and guidance of the Private Sector Fundraising Specialist, the officer contributes to the implementation of Egypt Country Office (ECO) private sector fundraising strategic plan.  The officer is responsible for mapping, researching, analyzing and screening potential partnerships against UNICEF procedures. 

Summary of key results:

The Private Sector Fundraising Officer will develop and maintain a deep knowledge and familiarity with current and prospective partners and relevant stakeholders by researching potential partners and maintaining a database of key contacts.

Researching and analyzing potential private sector partners to support the office in determining programmatic fit and value-added to children.

The Officer shall identify the highest impact partnership ideas for priority prospects and support the development of a quality brief for further review, development and submission. Contributing to enhancing the section’s efficiency and effectiveness through implementation follow-on, monitoring inputs, local conditions and resources as per agreed action plans with partners.

In Coordination with UNICEF headquarters, the officer shall manage UNICEF’s due diligence process for private sector partners and opportunities and makes recommendations to the section based on the outcome of the process.

Initiating and managing feedback from legal team. Managing, maintaining and growing the portfolio of business for results, specifically the portfolio of partnerships with private sector linked to skilling of young people.

Coordinating the engage with external communication section. Guiding short-term staff, including interns and consultants.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

A university degree in international development, public affairs, international relations, political science, communications, or another related field.

At least three (3) years of progressively responsible professional experience in external relations, liaison and/or any resource- mobilization related activities.

Fluency in Arabic and English is required.

Selection Criteria:

Experience managing and reporting on partnerships with private sector companies as part of an international organization or company.

Knowledge of Egypt Operational Environment and UN procedures and processes.
