Organizational Setting and Work Relationships
The incumbent will contribute to the strategic goals of PSP through the planning, development, and delivery of (multi-country) fundraising and engagement campaigns, appeals, assets, tools, resources, best practice communication and guidance that will increase income for UNHCR.
This support will enable PSP markets to run effective ready-made or adapted fundraising campaigns and appeals and deliver increased resources to UNHCR¿s budget. The incumbent will establish strong working relationships with the PSP network and National Associations and help build their capacity in fundraising campaigns and appeals, but also work towards the wider organisational goal of UNHCR to increase its supporter base and expand its brand. The incumbent will work in very close collaboration with UNHCR¿s global communication, global advocacy, and digital teams to optimize coordination and leverage opportunities for UNHCR in a coordinated and strategic manner. The Incumbent normally reports to a senior staff responsible for campaigns.

- Contribute to the development and implementation of innovative and creative (multi-country) or other campaigns/appeals to accelerate income from individual, corporate and foundation donors and increase trust, engagement, and brand awareness.
- Engage the PSP network in campaigns, respond their needs and support them in the execution of campaigns at the national level, this includes facilitating shared learning and ideas.
- Ensure high quality donor reporting is delivered regularly for each campaign, this involves income tracking, working with colleagues in the Program Support Unit and the content team for impact case studies.
- Be responsible for the team¿s workplan including leading on specific campaigns or income streams within larger campaigns.
- Build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Support campaign design, development, planning, budgeting, resourcing and management of campaigns, appeals and other strategic approaches.
- Design and drive feasibility studies to assess viability of any potential fundraise campaign/appeal.
- Ensure audience research is done and campaigns/appeals are strategically targeted.
- Manage campaign budgets and ensure clear timelines, ROIs and KPIs for each campaign.
- Manage external vendors/creative agency engagement, build effective and efficient relationships and manage project budgets and deliverables.
- Contribute to the development of creative fundraising products as part of the campaign¿s portfolio.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Years of Experience / Degree Level
For P3/NOC - 6 years relevant experience with Undergraduate degree; or 5 years relevant experience with Graduate degree; or 4 years relevant experience with Doctorate degree

Relevant Job Experience
A minimum of 6 years¿ experience working in fundraising including experience in the not-for-profit sector. Proven experience creating campaigns, leading advocacy, communications and marketing initiatives. Experience of managing external agencies. Proven experience in Individual Giving fundraising. Strong project management skills including planning and schedule creation. Knowledge of marketing techniques including audience research methods. Experience of working with multiple stakeholders across functional and national boundaries. Experience of creating communities of practice to increase horizontal collaboration. Experience of leading multi-disciplinary project teams. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain effective working relationships with people in a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic environment with sensitivity and respect for diversity. Organisational awareness.
Proficiency in another relevant UN language.

Desired Candidate Profile
The candidate has substantive experience in effective project management of campaigns or fundraising appeals including effective multi-stakeholder management. The candidate has experience of individual giving (IG) fundraising and a sound understanding of content and asset creation for fundraising purposes. The candidate is a strong team player but also able to work independently. The candidate demonstrates vision, drive and is solution focused.

Nature of Position:
This position sits within the Campaigns Unit which is part of the newly established Supporter Engagement section in the Private Sector Partnerships service (PSP) in HQ. The function of PSP HQ, among others, is to support 34 plus fundraising offices around the world with their national fundraising, and service different sections within PSP and UNHCR globally.
The incumbent will be based in Copenhagen and will contribute to the strategic goals of PSP through strategic planning, development and delivery of multi-country fundraising and engagement campaigns and appeals. The incumbent is responsible for campaign strategy, campaign management and the development of fundraising assets, tools, resources, best practice communication and guidance. A key function of this global role is the ability to engage and work effectively with regional and national teams within the PSP network and National Partners. Outputs are measured by income raised an market engagement. The Campaigns Officer contributes to the section goal of accelerating income for UNHCR and increasing the global supporter base.
