Overview of position

Under the general supervision of the LMI Programme Manager and the direct

supervision of the Policy and Research Officer, the incumbent is responsible to

support in delivering Labour Migration Governance training to relevant stakeholders

of Libyan municipalities and other public officials, develop training materials.

organize training logistics and keep track of the participation of key stakeholders.

The incumbent will also be involved in day-to-day running of policy and research

activities of the Unit.

 

Role objectives

The incumbent will take forward the following tasks:

1. Deliver Labour Migration Governance LMG Training modules and

facilitate discussions with training participants;

2. Liaise with the Ministry of Labour and other relevant Libyan ministries

and institutions to consolidate list of potential trainees;

3. Reach out to participants ahead of LMG trainings and keeps in contact

with participants ahead of the training;

4. Proactively keep track of participants list in consolidated Excel sheet;

5. Send satisfaction survey to participants and ensures that relevant

participants answered the survey;

6. Liaise with Admin Assistant to prepare logistics of in-person and online

training sessions;

7. Contribute to the drafting of a module and handbook for high level Libyan Officials on how to develop a policy LMG.

8. Support in training future LMG trainers, inside and outside IOM.

9. Keep abreast of labour migration policies in Libya and their relevance to the trainings and discussions.

10. Provide other ad-hoc support to ensure successful completion of trainings.

11. Provide other ad-hoc support to other policy workshops/trainings and research projects, as may be assigned

12. Perform such other duties as may be assigned

Project reporting

This role reports to the LHD Project Officer.
