Mission and objectives
Within the UN Volunteers programme, the Volunteer Services Centre is responsible for providing timely and high-quality services in the identification and recruitment of onsite UN Volunteers, as well as in the management of the conditions of service for volunteers globally. The Centre works closely with all teams and offices in UNV to ensure seamless and consolidated services in accordance with rules, regulations, policies and processes.
Context
The demand for UN Volunteers keeps evolving and UNV needs to be able to cater for the breadth of requests it receives from UN partners. For outreach and talent acquisition to be effective, it is crucial to have good understanding of the suitable talent sources available in donor countries, to meet UNV target regarding fully funded assignments. This assignment will contribute to SDG 17 Partnerships for the Goals in UN's 2030 Agenda.
Task description
We are looking for two experienced Online Volunteers who, under the supervision of Talent Acquisition Associate at Volunteer Service Center will support the mapping of talent sources in Japan. More specifically, the Online Volunteers are asked to: - Discuss and determine objective and data sources for talent mapping; - Develop a methodology and tool for data analysis, and data preparation for talent mapping; - Produce a talent map based on the analysis conducted; - Identify labour market talent sources relevant in Japan.
