Key functions and deliverables:
  • Timely and high-quality research, presentation and coordination support for IF (Innovative Finance) product development and IFFIm (International Finance Facility for Immunisation) strategic initiatives
  • High-quality support in the planning and preparation of IFFIm events/activities
  • Timely and high-quality support for the smooth operation of IF
  • Support in financial data analyses and presentations
  • Facilitation of IF knowledge management through streamlined structuring and organisation of information/documents
  • Support Innovative Finance’s broader product development activity including, but not limited to, research, pitch development and coordination
  • Support IFFIm’s strategic initiatives including, but not limited to, research, presentation preparation and coordination
  • Support IFFIm analytics including, but not limited to, data organisation, modelling and presentation
  • Support and help with preparations for other IFFIm periodic events/activities, such as IFFIm Board meetings, IFFIm donor meetings and IFFIm communications (website, brochure, resource guides, etc)
  • Support IF team’s engagement with IFFIm stakeholders, including other teams across the Gavi Secretariat, current and prospective IFFIm donors, World Bank counterparts, etc
  • Support development and implementation of streamlined knowledge management systems, including organisation and migration of documents on SharePoint or other platforms
  • Provide general operational support to the IF team
  • Provide additional ad hoc research, writing and presentation support as needed

  • Minimum of 1 year previous office experience preferred.
  • Some familiarity with or interest in public health and/or immunisation issues
  • Some familiarity with financial markets or corporate finance
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment and establish harmonious working relationships
  • Written and spoken fluency in English is required;
  • Written and spoken fluency in another UN language is an asset, particularly French.
  • Graduate student or undergraduate student in junior or senior year
