  • Conduct training sessions for the selected beneficiaries in target communities on poultry and livestock
  • Evaluate the knowledge and skills of community members who received training to make sure that the training approach is in accurate manner
  • Train workers in animal care procedures, breeding, and safety precautions
  • Conduct training on different steps for improved livestock and poultry management to ensure disease prevention, increased milk and egg production and profitability
  • Organize and coordinate meetings between the different area animal husbandry beneficiaries for exchange of ideas opinions and views to enable the beneficiaries to come up with ways and ideas for the development of the animal husbandry and increase of livestock and poultry production;
  • Have good information and experience in Farmers Field Schools (FFS) related to livestock and Poultry Production.
  • Training of the female beneficiaries on the poultry production, Dairy production and implementation of the poultry activities.
  • Facilitate discussions with women beneficiaries on topics related to livestock production and animal husbandry
  • Work with the beneficiaries to construct or rehabilitate rooms for the livestock and poultry.
  • Participate in procurement phases to make sure that the procured livestock are in good health
  • Train the target beneficiaries in preparing locally made fodder for the livestock.
  • Take active part in the meetings conducted by Government, INGOs and UN agencies at the field
  • Keep clear filling and documentation of the attendance, expenses of the trainings, workshops and meetings
  • Develop curriculums, manuals and agendas for the trainings and workshops
  • Share the curriculums, manuals and agendas developed with Kabul team for review
  • Link poultry and livestock beneficiaries to the local markets to generate income;
  • Closely collaborate with the existing dairy farms and link the female livestock beneficiaries to these dairy farms;
  • Train university and Agriculture department interns on the principles of FFS.
  • Participate in internal weekly and monthly meetings;
  • Abide to IRC personnel policies and regulations.
