The analyst/associate will assist digital program specialists with implementing business processes; identifying needs and technology gaps; and identifying, implementing, and supporting appropriate business solutions in AIIB's core investment operations (loan administration business areas). They will serve as a member of the Information Technology Division (ITD). This role is onsite in Beijing, China.

 

The selected candidate will work in a start-up, fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment. They will have the opportunity to drive IT process design. They will be exposed to cutting-edge cloud technology and a multilateral development bank’s business environment, where they can hone skills in business analysis, strategic thinking, stakeholder management, communication, project management, risk management, etc.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Liaise between IT department and business department and work as subject matter expert for loan administration business.
  • Lead the business requirements gathering and prioritization, business process modelling, impact analysis, and feasibility studies, and propose solutions for loan administration (support solution design and full project cycle delivery).
  • Support digital program specialists build systems for loan administration, such as loan management systems, loan client portals etc.
  • Provide enhancement and operations support for IT systems used by the loan administration unit, including but not limited to analyzing new initiatives and process changes, supporting production troubleshooting, enhancing the quality of ongoing IT products and services, utilizing IT data for more business insights, etc.
  • Work closely with various IT teams - such as infrastructure, data management, IT security, and risk management - to ensure complete coverage of IT requirements when rolling-out new products and services to business users and maintain a highly secure system through proper configuration and system access monitoring.
  • Ensure that processes comply with IT governance processes and procedures and AIIB’s audit and control requirements.
  • Own business process and requirements documentation, and be responsible for internally retaining and transferring business knowledge.
  • Collaborate with all levels of stakeholders, both internal and external.

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2-3 years of relevant IT experience for IT Analyst or minimum 3-5 years of relevant IT experience for IT Associate, with a minimum of two years of experience working as a business analyst in IT system implementation or business-as-usual support for IT applications.
  • Good understanding of loan administration processes, particularly that of multilateral development banks, is a big advantage.
  • In-depth knowledge of IT requirements elicitation and specification, process flows, and developing business use case scenarios.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of process modelling, agile and waterfall IT system rollout methodologies.
  • Results-oriented with keen attention to detail, and an ability to multitask, and prioritize duties.
  • Effective communication and engagement skills with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Fluency in oral and written English is a must.
  • Having good interpersonal and consultative skillsets is an advantage. 
  • Master’s degree equivalent or higher in computer engineering, business administration, or related fields from a reputable university.
