Head of Legal Unit

Major purpose of Legal Unit: providing legal advice to EIOPA on all issues having legal implications related to the Founding Regulation, sectorial legislations, Governance, Rules of Procedure, Ethics, Confidentiality, Staff Regulations, Financial Regulations and Intellectual Property; performing legal quality control of EIOPA’s Instruments (such as Technical Standards, Guidelines and Opinions), decisions and other publications; handling of complaints against NCAs or EIOPA; supporting EIOPA's Mediation Panel; defending EIOPA in appeals in front of Board of Appeal or in court proceedings at EU or national levels; coordinating of access to documents (ATD) requests; managing external whistleblowing channels; providing advice on data protection issues.
