The Printing Center Operator is responsible to the Printing Centre Supervisor.

Responsibilities

- Operates digital photocopying and duplicating machines; runs and groups sheets for collation, binding, packing and dispatching of materials;

- Utilizes the available software to scan and maintain up-to-date electronic records of the produced materials;

- Carries out porterage duties by collecting, distributing and sending materials to the mail room;

- Maintains files of the used originals and other documents for reproduction and photocopying as required; keeps and updates records of production and distribution;

- Maintains high standard of confidentiality regarding documents produced within the Printing Centre, with special attention to sensitive materials (i.e. unified exam papers, Adcom materials and alike);

- Applies health and safety requirements in relation to equipment operation with due regard to personnel safety and accident/breakdown prevention;

- Attends to minor maintenance and cleanliness of machines at the Printing Centre;

Education

- Completion of full secondary education

- One-year course in business and office practice, office machines, information technology or any related field.

- Some knowledge of standard computer applications used by UNRWA.

At least four years relevant experience of which at least two years should have been in a printing and duplicating operations are required.

Conditions of service:

Contract Type: Fixed Term Appointment for 3 years; including 1 year probation period, with the possibility of further extension, subject to the availability of funds, satisfactory performance, and continuing need.

Grade and Salary: Grade 6 Monthly basic salary JOD 574.5. Other benefits: Other benefits include monthly Provident Fund contribution (15.2% of basic salary paid by the Agency), compulsory medical insurance, 30 days of annual leave, and dependency allowance (if applicable).

The post may require some physical and lifting duties, thus fitness of the incumbent is necessary.

The incumbent may be required to work outside UNRWA regular working hours.
