Logistics Analyst

The International Potato Center (CIP) is looking for a dynamic Logistics Analyst with excellent organizational skills to provide support to the logistics department. About the role

Coordinate logistics functions to contribute and implement the organization’s strategic procurement plan.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide support to logistics operations, following standard processes and ensuring effective service delivery.

• Interact with the logistic team to identify best approaches for handling operational transactions to optimize service levels, maintain supply-chain efficiency, or minimize cost. • Negotiate and follow up with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of requests.

• Perform local and international bidding processes: make calls, assess quotations, prepare comparative charts, make the purchasing committee.

• Register and maintain logistic database in the corporate system for successfully tracking of information.

• Participate in the development of operational metrics and provide recommendations to existing or planned logistics processes.

• Complywithapplicable healthandsafetyprotocolswithProviders(SCTR, VaccinationCertificate, Essalud, etc).

• Tracksproductflowfromorigintodeliveryviaweb-basedlogisticssystemsandotherappropriate methods of monitoring inventory and shipment vehicles.

• Reviews logistics processes and procedures; identifies, recommends, and implements improvements to maximize delivery efficiency while minimizing costs.

• Monitor the behavior of suppliers and develop strategies for efficient management. • Organize, develop, coordinate the processes of reception, verification and control, registration and custody of the products that enter and leave the Warehouse.

• Apply the procedures for the reception, registration, coding, storage classification (FIFO) and/or distributionoftheproducts;aswellasmaintainingtheoptimallevelofsuppliesinstockaccording to needs.

• Ensure control, updating, custody and organization of warehouse files and documents. What are we looking for?

• Bachelor´s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field. • Have courses focused on purchasing or logistics and supply chain.

• Proficient in ERP, Oracle, etc.

• Proficient in MS Office, especially in Excel.

• Experience working in Non-Profit Organizations.

• At least 4 years of professional experience in a similar position.

• Knowledge of Procurement Regulations: USAID, GIZ, UN, etc. and ability to negotiate with vendors worldwide (Incoterms), also experience with handling documents (BL, AWB, DAM, AES, International invoice, PL).

• Experience working with Non-Governmental Organizations; SENASA, IPEN, VUCE, SUNAT, etc. • Work experience in multicultural environments.

• Advanced written and oral communication skills in English.
