Mission and objectives

UNFPA is the United Nations sexual and reproductive health agency. Our mission is to deliver a world where every pregnancy is wanted, every childbirth is safe and every young person's potential is fulfilled. UNFPA programms in Kosovo aim to improve sexual and reproductive health and rights and well being of adolescents, and to strengthen evidence based analysis on population dynamics. These efforts include increasing access and use of integrated sexual and reproductive health care , promoting comprehensive sexuality education and strengthening institutional capacity for developing and implementing rights based policies. UNFPA calls for the realization of reproductive rights for all and supports access to a wide range of sexual and reproductive health services – including voluntary family planning, maternal health care and comprehensive sexuality education.

Context

UNFPA is looking for four volunteers who will proofread the report “The rights on Sexual and Reproductive Health Access to contraceptive information and services, abortion and post-abortion care, and maternal health care”. The experts of Ombudsman Institution of Kosovo in close collaboration with UNFPA Kosovo draft the report, which reflects the findings and recommendations of the National Inquiry on the above-mentioned topics. The original report is drafted in Albanian language, and subsequently translated into English, which need to be proofread for spelling or grammatical mistakes and improved from the stylistic point of view. While editing Online Volunteer should ensure a document is written in a concise, clear and good understandable way. Communication will be either through emails, WhatsApp, google meet or Zoom. Adequate guidance and instructions will be provided to the selected online volunteers References to Kosovo shall be understood to be in the context of Security Council Resolution 1244 (1999)

Task description

We are looking for four volunteers who will be available to proofread and review of the National Inquiry report. Volunteers will be expected to complete tasks with the utmost professionalism and deadlines for all tasks will be mutually agreed upon. Weekly tasks are estimated to 10 hours per week for each volunteer. Report will be divided based on the number of pages and chapters as follows: • Pages 1-27 (includes Chapter I) • Pages 28-54 (includes chapter II) • Pages 55-81 ( includes Chapter III) • Pages 82-105 (Includes part of the Chapter II and IV )
