We are looking for a Communications Associate – Digital who is interested in becoming a key member of the Bank’s diverse and dynamic international Communications Department. A bridge between AIIB’s internal stakeholders, including creative and IT teams, and external website development agency, the successful candidate will play an important role in planning and coordinating tasks and projects essential for the daily management of AIIB’s corporate website. Balancing a creative eye with an analytical mind, the Communications Associate should be detail-oriented and an excellent communicator, helping to promote our image and protect our reputation online.

 

 

Specific Responsibilities include, but are not limited to

  • Coordinating daily website update requests from internal department focal points across the Bank, ensuring timely execution of all requests by the website development agency and compliance with disclosure requirements outlined in AIIB’s Policy on Public Information (PPI).
  • Collaborating with the wider communications team and subject matter experts across departments to ensure that only high-quality engaging content is published and AIIB’s webpages tell the right stories.
  • Conducting regular content checks across all webpages to ensure accessibility of all uploaded website materials (e.g., reports, policy documents, event e-flyers, etc.) and alignment with AIIB’s brand guidelines.
  • Staying abreast of the latest website trends (UX/UI, SEO, GA, etc.) and provide thoughtful, strategic recommendations on ways to improve or facilitate the performance and function of the Bank’s website in response to evolving business needs.
  • Coordinating with the website development agency to ensure GA codes are included in all existing and new webpages and microsites, and regularly review SEO/user experience and incorporate keyword research and on-page optimization.
  • Regularly testing the Bank’s website across browsers, operating systems and devices and ensure that all website content follows web standards and best practices (and is seamlessly interconnected with the Bank’s social media streams).
  • Coordinating with IT and website teams to establish and maintain security in all web applications and optimize the site for speed and search functionality.
  • Identify and implement strategies for increasing site traffic for defined keywords and topics through organic SERP listings.
  • Support senior communication team leads for omnichannel campaigns, ensuring alignment between SEO and paid search and display strategies.
  • Collaborate with the website team to define SEO success metrics; develop and manage high-quality reporting utilizing Google Analytics and other web monitoring tools, and communicate website performance and insights that show progress toward defined KPIs.
  • Support in the production and deployment of email marketing campaigns through MailChimp, or similar tools.

 

Requirements

  • Minimum 3-5 years of web content management or similar experience.
  • Native-level literacy in digital media, including the leading social networks.
  • Experience with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Magento, HubSpot, etc.) is a must.
  • Working knowledge of SEO, native website analytics and Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Search Console and SEO tools (e.g., SEMrush, MOZ, Bright Edge, etc.).
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, PHP, JSON, and web development best practices is a definite plus.
  • Experience with UX/UI design and some knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (photoshop, illustrator and premier).
  • Working knowledge of email marketing tools (e.g., MailChimp, SendPulse, HubSpot, etc.)
  • Good analytical skills, understanding of A/B testing, and ability to draw conclusions from data and adapt work approach accordingly.
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn new tools quickly.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Can work under time pressure and deploy rapidly and reliably against deadlines in a fast-paced modern corporate communications environment.
  • An unrelentingly positive mental attitude with a can-do solutions orientation.
  • Able to work independently and proactively seize the initiative in sometimes changing and challenging circumstances where confident, deft and tactful improvisation is needed.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field required; coursework in digital media, web design, and/or computer programming is highly preferred.
