The Financial Accounting and Reporting unit under the Office of the Controller is recruiting for an Accounting Associate who will be responsible for assisting in AIIB’s financial accounting and reporting, particularly in the preparation of financial reports and maintenance of daily accounting duties. The Associate will be involved in various accounting and reconciliations functions.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

  • Perform daily accounting duties, complete general ledger operations in financial system (SAP), and assist with period-end closing, reconciliations, and other financial accounting duties.
  • Prepare analysis of accounts as requested, administer accounts receivable and accounts payable, and account/bank reconciliations, etc.
  • Review and process data for reporting, assist in preparing periodic financial statements, management reports, and ad-hoc reports as required.
  • Prepare financial analysis on transactional movement at trial balance level as well as portfolio level and compare against historical performance for management report purposes.
  • Prepare general ledger adjustments before period-end closure.
  • Review the subledger vs. general ledger reconciliation results, investigate the reconciliation breaks and analyze on the variance.
  • Participate in IT system-related projects and process improvements.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and other accounting duties as assigned.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Minimum 3~5 years of relevant practical experience working in an international bank and/or large organization.
  • Strategic problem solver with high sensitivity and sound knowledge of financial accounting and reporting.
  • Proficiency in relevant accounting software and loan management systems.
  • Strong organizational skills, multi-tasking, and capable of managing tight schedule
  • Team player who can communicate results.
  • A Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation from a reputable and internationally recognized institution would be an advantage.
  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Accounting, Finance, or related fields.
