We are looking for an engaged Human Resources Assistant/Officer who brings solid expertise and a passion for FSC’s mission, to work with us in a multinational environment.

 

The Scope

To contribute to the effective and efficient operation and management of the Human Resources Department, including its administrative day to day operation, as well as the further development of HR services, policies, and procedures.

 

Main Roles and Responsibilities

  • To prepare the monthly payroll in cooperation with an external provider.
  • To prepare and proof-read draft documents (employment contracts, works council hearings, letters, rental agreements etc., both in German and English).
  • To implement and improve external staff processes.
  • To contribute to the implementation of Joiner, Mover, and Leaver processes.
  • To contribute to administration and day to day operations.
  • To serve as a contact person and information provider (enquires, concerns, worries etc.) for all staff. 
  • To contribute to the implementation of HR projects.
  • Additional tasks as assigned by formal supervisor and project work as assigned for special organizational needs.

 

Qualification, Experience and Skills

  • Education and Training:
    • Successfully completed apprenticeship, training, bachelor, or master’s degree or equivalent in Human Resources.
    • Knowledge of German labour law.
       
  • Working Experience, Style and Skills:
    • At least 1-3 years of professional experience in HR administration, ideally in an international environment.
    • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
    • Good time management skills: Ability to perform well while handling simultaneously several tasks and responsibilities.
    • Solution and service-oriented attitude to work.
    • The ability to ensure consistent service delivery by following set policies and procedures.
       
  • Language and Communication Skills:
    • Fluency in German (spoken and written).
    • Fluency in English (spoken and written).
    • Exemplary verbal and written communication skills.
    • Active-listening skills.
    • Ability to establish and maintain positive interpersonal relations.
  • Computer Skills – good skills in the use of/experience with:
    • Good skills in the use of/experience with standard software packages (MS Office).
    • Knowledge of SAP is a plus.
       
  • Others:
    • Experience in working in a multi-cultural, multi-lingual, global team.
    • Commitment to FSC’s mission and values.
    • Demonstrated cultural awareness and sensitivity to the diversity of values, views, and approaches to issues relevant to the FSC program by stakeholders around the world.
    • Ability to represent FSC through his/her work with exemplary personal and professional authority and conduct.

 

Terms and Conditions

  • Location: Bonn, Germany.
  • Working Hours: Full time - 40 hours per week.
  • Duration of Employment: Temporary contract - 2 years (extension possible, subject to satisfactory performance).
  • Starting Date: As soon as possible.
