Org. Setting and Reporting
This position is located in United Nations Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus, Nicosia. The incumbent will report to the Senior Transport Assistant or to his/her designate.Responsibilities
-Processes trip tickets. Follows up in accordance with SOPs.
-Assists in preparing, updating, and entering records in the transport servicing data base.
-Assists in preparing and conducting written driving tests.
-Addresses routine issues which includes processing, the list of the daily maintenance of vehicles, provided by the Military Transport Officers. Escalates more complex issues to the attention of the supervisor.
-Assists in conducting practical driving tests in order to ensure that successful candidates are capable of safely driving. the mission vehicle for which they are licensed in accordance with all road traffic, rules and regulations, both local and UN, applicable in the mission area.
-Updates and maintains complete records and documents of all related transactions and entries on transport database.
-Prepares UN driving permits. Monitors driving permits records and provides updates on a regular basis.
-Compiles monthly incident and accident reports.
-Generates reports from the Electronic Vehicle Monitoring System (EVMS) & Fleet Log and updates and calibrates servicing history in the Carlog system as required.
-Carries out any other duties as assigned.

A minimum of three (03) years of progressively responsible experience in transport operations or related areas is required.
Experience working in an international organization is desirable.
