The Corporate Secretariat (SEC) seeks an Officer in the Shareholder Relations Team to assist in the Bank’s engagement with its Members, including through drafting of briefing notes, resolutions, undertake research, analysis, data management, and appropriate support of the organization of events and meetings.  

 

Responsibilities: 

The key responsibilities for the Secretariat Officer include, but are not limited to: 

  • Contribute to the strategic engagement with Members of the Bank including drafting briefing notes and resolutions, planning and organizing events related to member relations. 

  • Support the planning and implementation of research projects and background analysis with specific focus on geopolitical landscapes. 

  • Undertake analysis and support research on relevant topics pertaining to geopolitics and economic development. 

  • Manage and support the Membership Intelligence Portal (MIP), data management, capital subscription, voting rights and relevant membership related information. 

  • Organize various outreach events with the shareholders. 

  • Support the coordination and planning of the shareholder engagement including high-level meetings between Senior Management and Governors. 

  • Assist in the process of Accession of New and Prospective Members. 

  • Plan the organization of the Board of Governors’ Official Session and Business Roundtable, in collaboration with Host Government, Bank departments as well as SEC units. 

  • Such other work related to these duties as may be assigned by supervisor.  

 

Candidate Requirements: 

  • Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in related fields, preferably in international organizations or diplomatic organizations. 

  • Experience in data management, strategic studies and international relations. Good data management skills and proficiency in information architecture and structures would be a plus. 

  • Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities as well as excellent written and oral communication skills. 

  • Excellent cross-cultural communication and diplomatic skills with a proven track record. 

  • Able to work independently, take ownership of responsibilities, and thrive on bringing creativity and new thinking to the job. 

  • Able to multitask, work under pressure and meet deadlines. 

  • Strong attention to detail. 

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English. 

  • Master’s degree preferably in business, economics, finance, international relations or international development.
