Summary of Role:

Communications & Marketing Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the organization achieves its plans for growth in alignment with its mission, vision, and values. This individual will report to the Country Director & Director of International programs.

Communication & Marketing Manager creates, implements, and oversees marketing and communication of programs that effectively describe and promote the organization and its projects in India to stakeholders and prospective donors. Also, focusing on local fundraising and building CSR partnerships.
They will be responsible for digital content creation, management of NN’s editorials, and managing the organization’s Social Media presence. Ideally, the candidate will be comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within a small, close-knit team, and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities:

Impact Story | Photo & Video:

• Lead and collaborate closely with program and production teams to identify and collect impact stories on a regular basis to secure enough stories for internal use and/or requested by Nomi headquarters
• Write, select, and compile stories to prepare for communication and marketing posts (email, social media, speaking engagement, etc.)
• Lead and collaborate with each department to take sufficient photos and videos
• Ensure consent forms and registration forms for impact stories, photos, and videos are signed by the participants to make sure all participants give their legal consent for image use
• Responsible for video production processes from pre-production to post-production

Creation & Production:
• Work alongside the design teams to design and create media and marketing for the post, print, and digital distribution, including - but not limited to - ads, brochures, posters, applications, surveys, web banner ads, events, and email blasts.
• Supervise and coach the Graphic Designers to make sure all designs are standardized and consistent with Nomi guidelines.

Monitoring & Reporting:
• Work alongside and closely with Nomi headquarters team to provide the best support in terms of social media, marketing, stories, photos, and videos as needed and requested
• Provide monthly marketing & social media statistics reports and analysis to the Country Directors and Nomi management team as requested.
Marketing:
• Develop and implement marketing and communications campaigns and strategies, and monitor their success.
• Develop and manage, in conjunction with department heads, an integrated marketing plan to support the promotion of each project.
• Run effective marketing campaigns which deliver Nomi’s key messages to the target beneficiaries and industry sectors.
• Define key performance indicators for each communication channel which will indicate a campaign's level of success.
Social Media:
• Manage and monitor social media channels and engage with audiences and respond to inquiries and comments.
• Keep channels updated in line with Nomi Network’s guidelines.

Communications:
• Develop, manage, and own content on the website.
• Collaborate with each department to identify potential content for all publications
• Co-ordinate, produce, and deliver email newsletters
• Write and/or edit press releases as needed or requested
• Design, develop, and maintain an informational PowerPoint presentation.

Admin & Finance:
• Always keep time and production constraints in mind
• Manage the Marketing & Communication monthly budget and follow up monthly
• Ensure Nomi’s financial guidelines are followed for all purchases
• Ensure that the expenditure is recorded using Nomi’s financial templates.

General:
• Have complete knowledge of the company’s policies
• Attend all training sessions scheduled by the management
• Always keep a very good and professional attitude towards all colleagues
• Occasionally perform other duties and assist with special projects as assigned.

Qualification and Experience:

1. Candidate must have at least 5-8 years of experience in content development, behavior change communication, and knowledge management, with at least a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication/Journalism, Media, and Communication, international/ public relations, or other related subjects
2. Min 3 years of experience in a similar role and creating targeted content and managing projects for non-profits.
3. Superior writing skills and an analytical mindset are also huge assets to anyone pursuing this field.
4. Capacity to juggle competing priorities and a busy program of work while working toward an agreed strategy.
5. Creative in concepts and perfect knowledge of social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc.)
6. Ability to troubleshoot basic IT issues.
