About Organisation
SPYM is a national organisation with a countrywide presence working in the area of health and socio-economic development since last above 35 years. SPYM is working in the domains of Health, Socio-economic development, Advocacy and Networking in the North, South and North Eastern part of India. SPYM has worked with Govt. agencies i.e. Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Ministry of Rural Development, Govt. of India etc. along with Multilaterals agencies like World Bank, UN agencies like UNDP, UNFPA, UNICEF, UNAIDS, UNODC etc., bilateral agencies like DfID, USAID, CIDA etc.

State Technical Support Unit:
SPYM is managing the State Technical Support Unit (STSU) for the State of Rajasthan to support the State in implementation of Tuberculosis Intervention as part of National Tuberculosis Elimination Program. STSU helps and works in close coordination with the State TB Cell (STC), District TB Officers (DTOs) and City Health administrators in planning and implementation of activities leading towards TB elimination as envisioned by 2025. Key areas of support are:
a) Support the state in implementing the engagement of Service Providers in private sector, NGOs and untapped areas.
b) Contract management with Private sector & NGO sector
c) Monitoring & Evaluation
d) Capacity building and Technical Support

SPYM invites application for the post of Deputy Team Leader – State Technical Support Unit (STSU):

Location: Jaipur, Rajasthan

About the Position: Responsible for day-to-day management of the team and functioning of project

Job Responsibilities:
o Project management of the project as per agreed activities, timelines and
deliverables
o Defining the detailed work plan, and managing the team of consultants / domain experts against the work plan
o Develop monthly/ quarterly work plan for STSU along with budget and quarter wise deliverables
o Sending periodic updates, and highlighting challenges in project execution. Guiding the team to arrive at specific solutions for each of impact areas in coordination with the Team Leader.
o Coordinate with the multidisciplinary team for the day operations pertaining to STSU in consultation with Team Leader.
o Coordinate with State in engaging private health care providers for improved
coverage/reach of TB patients with timely diagnosis and treatment services
o Analyse district wise performance and provide inputs to the State.
o Analyse and review the performance of the districts against the set targets periodically and communicate the same to State TB Cell.
o Support the PPIS engagement and facilitate the State for building public-private partnership in the State.
o Identify training and capacity needs for the districts and State TB Cell and organize the same in coordination with State Officials.
o Provide support in strengthening private sector notification through the PPIS.
o Submit progress reports of STSU on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis to the
CTD/NTSU
o Provide technical support to STC for documenting best practices on TB programs in the state.
o Any other task that may be assigned by Team Leader, STSU

Qualification & Experience:
o MBBS or BDS Graduate or Post-Graduate in Public Health /Health Administration / Community Health Administration or Preventive & Social Medicine and/or Hospital Management/ Healthcare Management (2 Yrs Full Time- UGC /AICTE approved) /Recognized university degree with Postgraduate degree in management/Post Graduate Diploma in Health Management (2 yrs. full time- AICTE approved)

Desirable: Experience in TB or HIV programs, already located in the State of Rajasthan.

o At least 5 yrs. of experience in design and management of health sector projects with significant experience of designing and managing PPP projects with government public health programs in coordination with the Ministry of Health, Government of India and/or State Health department.

Required knowledge, skills and abilities typically needed to perform this job:
o Good communication skills and proficiency in English & Hindi preferably.
o Ability to undertake & deliver on the above responsibilities and tasks.
o Excellent documentation and presentation skills.
o Flexibility and the ability to work effectively in a team and cope with pressure and challenges.
o Excellent interpersonal skills and able to work independently as well as part of an effective team.
o Demonstrated ability to analyze policy issues and to communicate findings and
policy recommendations to a variety of audiences.
o Willingness to travel extensively in various districts of Rajasthan.

Salary: Salary will commensurate with experience and shall be at par with current standards.
