SNV has been working in Vietnam since 1995, and currently has over 34 national and international staff. SNV Vietnam operates from a head office in Hanoi and projects in over 50 provinces in the country, including in the poorest and most remote areas.

SNV Vietnam office is looking for a qualified local candidate for the position of Human Resources Assistant. S/He will implement all HR tasks of Country Office and provide advice and support to teams on all HR related issues, and support Human Resource & Operation Manager in ensuring effective HR systems and processes are in place and functioning as per SNV’s general quality standards.

Job Description

Recruitment & Selection:

  • Contact advertisement agencies (newspapers, websites, NGOs resources center, etc) for registration for publishing vacancy announcement;
  • Help in making appointments with short-listed candidates and arranges logistics for the interviews;
  • Fill up the HR mutation forms with information of short-listed international candidates and send to the HQ (when stating first interview and when selection is completed);
  • Send response messages to un-short-listed applicants;
  • Help with preparation of introduction/orientation program for new staff member;
  • Performs other duties and tasks at the request of HR & operation Manager.

Other HR Admin tasks:

  • Help in preparing employment contracts, memos for changes of employment conditions;
  • Executes the salary administration in line with the salary administrative procedures and authorisation levels, aligned to legal and fiscal regulations, specific organisational/country requirements (e.g. insurance issues);
  • Support in implementing country health & safety programs;
  • Provide support in logistic and administrative arrangement for training activities;
  • Assisting to implement the performance appraisal system;
  • Archives relevant documentation, keeps files complete and up-to-date and maintains quality and accessibility of archive and files, conform administrative procedures and filing procedures;
  • Other HR admin tasks requested by Human Resource & Operation Manager 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in the field of human resources management; and/or relevant field.
  • Experience in and well-developed skills in recruitment, selection, appointment, contracting and payroll and ability to operationalize these;
  • Have good knowledge about Vietnam Labor Code, Social Insurance Code, Enterprise Code, Civil Code, PIT Law and legal regulations of INGO
  • Ability to handle HR issues appropriately (confidentiality, data protection)
  • Strong interpersonal skills;
  • Excellent coordination skills;
  • Good time management skills and ability to juggle multiple responsibilities;
  • Good computer skills in MS office and database management;
  • Excellent proficiency in written and spoken Vietnamese and English;
  • Demonstrate teamwork ability, dynamic and self-motivated character, willingness to up skill as required by the tasks to be performed.

Application Deadline: by 30th March 2023.

Contract Duration : 1 year with possible extension

Reporting: The HR assistant will be coached and supervised by HR & operation Manager.

Contract Type: Local (open to Vietnamese nationals only)

Duty Stations: Hanoi (with some field travels)
