Mission and objectives
GLOWA fights against human trafficking and the damage it creates in our communities throughout the Northwest region of Cameroon through community education to prevent trafficking, support for victims, and advocacy on their behalf. Through these works, GLOWA aims to nurture a culture of respect for human rights, particularly those of children and women, in the region and fight against the systematic abuses faced by the most vulnerable.
Context
GLOWA presently runs a Rehabilitation and Stabilization Project for rescued victims of child trafficking. This project is undergoing major restructuring through the design of customized training modules and evaluation techniques in shoemaking and other vocational training options in the program. In this regard, GLOWA is soliciting the support of online volunteer(s) to serve as a research assistant to help research institutions and useful publication in the subject mater of shoemaking
Task description
GLOWA is soliciting the service of online volunteers to lead in researching in the design of tools and modules for training survivors of child sex and labor trafficking in shoemaking. The online volunteers will support the project team of volunteer curriculum developers through research on deliverables related to the vocational training in shoemaking. They will determine the appropriate and relevant use of images as training tools training and provide any other guidance that will help the team adapt the training guide to the needs of lowly educated and traumatized survivors of trafficking.
