Mission and objectives

The UN Resident Coordinator (RC) system encompasses all organizations of the United Nations system dealing with operational activities for development, regardless of their formal presence in the country. The RC system aims to bring together the different UN agencies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of operational activities at the country level.

Context

The UN’s development reform counts among its objectives a boost in accountability and transparency for UN Country Teams’ work to support authorities to attain the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). UNCT Annual Reports help UN country teams (UNCTs) best illustrate their contribution to the advancement of the SDGs in a country. The selected candidate will receive the draft report narrative and will develop the graphical structure of the document. Her/his support will allow the Resident Coordinator Office to submit a graphically sound draft report to UN Headquarters and to Government partners for review.

Task description

We are looking for three Online Volunteers who under the guidance of the Coordination officer and in close collaboration with the communications team support us by producing the graphic template of the UNCT Annual Report. In particular, the/each Online Volunteer is asked to: - Create a first quick draft design based on provided materials, requirements and submit a first draft in 48hours; - Further develop and finalize the design according to agreed requirements. The design/layout should follow our corporate design guidelines which will be shared with the Online Volunteers in advance.
