The EIT is now organising a call for expressions of interest to establish a reserve list for Contract Staff (CA) for the profile of Public Affairs Officer. The place of employment will be Brussels, Belgium, where the EIT Liaison Office is located. The successful incumbent may, however, be required to rotate to the EIT’s seat in Budapest, Hungary, at a later stage as deemed necessary in the interests of the service. Applications from women candidates are strongly encouraged. The jobholder will contribute to increasing the visibility of the EIT, its activities and results among EIT stakeholders. The staff member will implement public and community affairs and stakeholder engagement activities in close collaboration with colleagues and with the EIT’s Knowledge and Innovation Communities (EIT KICs). The jobholder will be part of the EIT’s Communications and Engagement Unit reporting to the respective Head of Operations and Head of Unit and working closely with the EIT Liaison Officer in Brussels. TASKS The Public Affairs Officer will support the implementation of the EIT’s communication & stakeholder work programme by: -Developing and implementing public and community affairs plans to increase the visibility of the EIT Community’s activities and achievements. -Contributing to the management of the EIT’s relations with internal and external stakeholders (at the European, national, regional, local and sectoral (business, education and research) level) through the use of effective tools, methods and channels. -Coordinating and drafting briefings, reports and policy concept notes as requested and carrying out research and analysis. -Providing support in the management and coordination of advisory EIT bodies; -Organising meetings and events for stakeholders and representing the EIT in external events as required; -Contributing to the financial and operational management in the area of responsibility, including procurements, implementation of contracts, payments and reporting; -Contributing to the achievement of the EIT’s objectives through inputs to horizontal coordination activities, teamwork, proactive internal communication and inputs to the work of colleagues. -The jobholder may be asked to carry out other tasks as deemed necessary in the interest of the service.
