Galileo Service Provision Engineer

The Agency is looking for a Galileo Service Provision Engineer who will be involved in the implementation and roll-out of new and evolved (Galileo) Services to the users. The jobholder will contribute to the fulfilment of the Agency’s duties related to the provision of new and/or evolved Galileo Services to the users, through supporting and following the preparation and execution of the activities required to modify the Galileo Service Provision (e.g. processes, infrastructure). This requires involvement in the monitoring of the current services’ provision, including engaging with the current users, to support the definition and implementation of new services, ensuring their compatibility and coordination with the Infrastructure and operations providing the current services, and to define and implement any required evolutions of the Service Provision activities (and associated processes and interfaces) for the provision of the new/evolved services. This role will cover activities executed at the European GNSS Service Centre (GSC), the Galileo Control Centres (GCCs) and the Galileo Security Monitoring Centre (GSMC). This role covers the Galileo Services for the System in Operations for both the first (G1G) and the second (G2G) generations of Galileo. The jobholder will have the following main tasks and responsibilities: - Assess and monitor the provision of the current Galileo Services and support the evolution of the performance indicators; - Participate in the day-by-day coordination of Galileo Service Provision; - Contribute to the implementation and roll-out of the new and evolved Galileo Services; - Participate in reviews and operational boards and meeting; - Liaise with other departments and other Programmes, to foster coordination and commonality in the development and implementation of new services, and in the area of Administration, to ensure the execution of related corporate tasks, such as planning, reporting, administration, financial and budget management, risk management, and in the area of communications, for what concerns the interactions with the Galileo users. Missions to the other Agency sites (GRC in the Netherlands, GSMC in France and Spain), GSC in Spain, Galileo Control Centres (in Oberpfaffenhofen and Fucino) and occasional travels to the European Commission in Brussels (Belgium) are foreseen for this post.
