OVERVIEW OF THE FUNCTIONS OF THE POST

The UNESCO International Institute for Higher Education in Latin America and the Caribbean, as a Category 1 Institute of UNESCO, is developing a new content manager to modernize and homogenise its website from a “technical and ergonomic point of view” and in line with UNESCO’s recently launched website.

For that purpose, the Institute is now requiring the support of a Junior Consultant that can take part in the management of content using WordPress and Drupal management systems to migrate the content of the current website to the new system. IN accordance to UNESCO's digital branding.

Under the overall authority of the Director of UNESCO IESALC, and the direct supervision of the Communications Department, the Junior Consultant will contribute to the execution of the new website. Working as part of the interdisciplinary team at UNESCO IESALC, in collaboration with education stakeholders at different levels, the Junior Consultant will carry out the following responsibilities:

  1. Assist in the merge of the current content to the new platform.
  2. Editing of texts and search of images and visual materials
  3. Carry out better ways of communicating on digital media
  4. Be able to work in Spanish and English
  5. Attend digital workshops

Education: University student or degree in the field of Communication, Graphic Design and/or innovation-related disciplines (e.g. technology).

Subjects: Communication, Digital Design and Innovation

Language skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Spanish and English
