Head of Supporter Marketing
Contract: Permanent, full time
Salary: £68,701 - £78,040 with excellent benefits
Location: London, UK
Hybrid Working: A minimum of 40% of working time is spent face to face, either in London office or as a result of external engagement or travel for WaterAid. WaterAid is located at Canary Wharf, London and this will be your location and contract base. In order to apply for this post, you must be able to demonstrate your eligibility to work in the UK.

About the Team:
This role manages WaterAid's Supporter Activation and Supporter Engagement teams who are together responsible for large-scale, multi-channel marketing and digital activity and nearly £40m in income every year. These teams sit within the Mass Engagement department.
About the Role:
As our Head of Supporter Marketing you will lead two vital teams, recruiting new Supporters to WaterAid, as well as engaging our existing base of fantastic supporters.
In this role, you will manage a team of 22 brilliant marketers, fundraisers, and digital product specialists to help WaterAid deliver our mission
You'll also:
- Be responsible for nearly £40m in income and an expenditure budget of £10m
- Set bold, ambitious strategies to grow WaterAid's brand by driving understanding and consideration for our organisation and cause
- Work with colleagues around WaterAid to drive impactful campaigning within the UK
- Recruit over 50k new Supporters to WaterAid each year, as well as retaining nearly 385k regular givers and delivering a first-class supporter experience
- Lead, coach and motivate two talented, high performing teams and contribute to building a bold, ambitious culture within Mass Engagement.
- These teams you will manage include our digital product and digital marketing functions
About You:
- Extensive experience of leading marketing campaigns and activities at scale, preferably in a role directly delivering revenue.
- Line management experience, with demonstrable success of managing a motivated and high performing team.
- Demonstrable experience of developing and managing strategic and operating plans and large, complex budgets.
- Significant experience working with media, creative and digital agencies.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and regularly meet required targets and deadlines for team activity.
- The ability to build strong relationships internally and a willingness to go the extra mile to create a supportive culture between teams.
