Mission and objectives

UNIC Manama is responsible for promoting greater public understanding of and support for the aims and activities of the United Nations by disseminating information on the work of the Organization to people in Bahrain and the Gulf region.

Context

Candidates should have experience in digital marketing and communications, experience using Content Management Systems, excellent communication and strong copywriting skills, strong organizational and planning skills. A degree in journalism, communications, humanities, or a related field is considered an asset.

Task description

We are looking for two online volunteers to support content creation and management of social media accounts of the UN Information Center in Manama, which covers the Gulf countries, on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, with the aim to reach target audiences with relevant messages on the work of the UN in the region, promote UN priorities and localize UN global campaigns.
