POSTING TITLE: Consultancy to work on Socio-economic data.
DEPARTMENT: CIP – India Regional Office

The International Potato Center (CIP) is looking for a consultant to work on socio-economic data generated by TAFSSA Initiative (Transforming Agri-Food Systems in South Asia).
The objective of this consultancy is to work with survey data generated in different projects across India. The lead consultant will be responsible for cleaning and analysis of data and writing of draft report. In addition, the consultant will work with TAFSSA team on price transmission study in Nalanda, Bihar.
This consultant will be based New Delhi, India and coordinate directly with the Project Manager. Expected duration and conditions:
• This consultancy contract is for 8 months.
• The payment is a fixed and consolidated fee.
• The venue for Interview will be informed only to the shortlisted candidates.
Deliverables:
Monthly reports based on the following activities:
• To work on several data sets generated in the states of Odisha and Bihar.
• To work on report generation/protocal preparation and brief writing.
• Develop questionnaire.
• Coordinate and ensure data collection.
• Analyse survey data and write draft report.
• Present initial findings.
• Develop scientific articles for publication in journals in order to disseminate project findings. Qualifications/special skills
• Master’s degree in agricultural economics/economics/related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant research experience.
• Speciality: Econometric and data analysis.
• Expert of proven experience on analyzing large data set.
• Skills: Quantitative primary data analysis.
• Advanced written and oral communication skills in English
• Willingness to travel as needed
