Company Profile:- Centre for Chronic Disease Control (CCDC) is a not-for-profit research organization of health professionals and social scientists engaged in knowledge generation and knowledge translation for the prevention and control of non-communicable (chronic) diseases in varied settings of the developing countries. CCDC has been recognized as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (SIRO) by Department of Scientific & Industrial Research (DSIR), Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India. CCDC also holds recognition as a WHO Collaborating Centre for Surveillance, Capacity Building and Translational Research in Cardio-metabolic diseases.
Project Brief: The project titled “GEOHealth Health Effects of Selected Environmental Exposomes Across the Life CourSe (HEALS)-India” is a 5-year project that will be leveraging existing pregnancy, children, adult, and older adult cohorts across India to study the effects of environmental exposomes PM2.5, NO2, O3, and extremes of temperature, on multiple health outcomes using a modified life course approach to inform policy interventions. This will help us systematically assess the vulnerable populations across pregnancy, infancy, childhood, adolescence, adult and older adult groups. We will also address how environmental exposomes interact with gender, socio-economic status, rural-urban settings, and pre-existing illnesses in impacting health outcomes.
Job Responsibilities :
 
The site coordinator will contribute to the implementation of the GEOHealth HEALS study in the following manner:
  • S/he will be stationed in Sonipat and Visakhapatnam and participate in staff training, manage the primary data collection, and ensure data quality on daily basis at the respective sites. 
  • S/he will be responsible for all the on-site activities and ensure smooth functioning
  • S/he will be responsible for handling of filters for speciation analysis and shipping filters to IIT Kanpur every week as per the protocol and notify their local study investigator if there are any deviations without any delay.
  • S/he will be responsible for safe transporting the speciation monitors within local sampling sites.
  • S/he will be responsible for managing the data collection for older adults’ survey using REDcap electronic data capture tool.
  • S/he will be responsible for managing the data collection for collecting consent and data for participants sampled for personal monitoring, providing and collecting bags which will have the equipment for personal monitoring 
  • S/he will be responsible for timely follow up of the participants whenever required
  • S/he will be responsible for ensuring the confidentiality of the collected participant data. 
  • S/he will be particularly responsible for coordinating with the project team at CCDC
  • S/he will be responsible for ccompiling all the project related data and report on regular basis to CCDC team
  • S/he will be responsible for liaising with the CCDC for the deployment, collection, repair/maintenance and responsibility of project related equipment, accessories, and consumables
  • S/he will coordinate with CCDC GEOHealth HEALS project coordinator for ensuring a smooth coordination of data collection 
  • S/he will oversee all the implementation activities including critical key activities, resources requirement and utilization plan 
  • S/he will be responsible for coordinating with the local investigators and updating them on the progress of research activities between CCDC and local sites
  • Any other tasks assigned by the site investigators 
Qualification :
Essential: Bachelor/Master’s degrees 
 
Desirable:
  • Management degree or recognized training in health management or allied subjects (post-graduate diploma in health management) 
  • Good rapport with the site investigators with previous experience and participants of the respective studies with good knowledge about the respective areas.
Experience: 3-5 years of experience in health research studies

Salary Range:     Commensurate with qualifications, experience, and present CTC.
