Job Description

Community and Events Volunteer

Contract: 7-14 hours per week, minimum 3 months then ongoing

Location: London, UK

Hybrid working: Some office and locational work will be needed. WaterAid is located at Canary Wharf, London and this will be your location and contract base.

Role summary:

Want to use your skills in fundraising, events and relationship management to play a vital role in making clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene normal for everyone everywhere?

This is a supporter facing role and will suit someone who wants to gain experience of stewardship and supporter experience, community and events fundraising, dealing with multiple supporters daily, has strong written and verbal communication skills and administrative skills.

To be successful, you'll need to have:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire supporters and communicate the difference their support makes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with excellent telephone manner
  • Excellent administration skills, with a close attention to detail
  • Endless enthusiasm, energy and a positive approach to their work
