THE POSITION
 
RAF Global is currently seeking to recruit a Senior Programme Officer cum Campaign Co-Ordinator for its Area Office at Maliya Hatina, which operates a multi-sector programme portfolio in the Junagadh district of Gujarat. The Sr. Programme Officer cum Campaign Co-ordinator will primarily  support the community mobilisation efforts along with programme implementation across all  thematic areas in the district of Junagadh.
 
S/he will be responsible to coordinate and manage programmatic interventions in the allocated villages and support the team in advancing key strategic priorities as approved under the Annual Plan. S/he will also be responsible for knowledge management including programme documentation, and represent RAF Global in leading platforms, including  dialogue with the district government.
 
REQUIRED ESSENTIAL CRITERIA FOR THE ROLE
  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in social work, Rural studies, Agriculture, Environmental Science/Management, Development Studies, or relevant field
  • At least five years of work experience in the relevant sector.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Hindi and Gujarati is a must. Working knowledge of English language will be an asset.
  • A Candidate with a driving license of two-wheeler will be preferred.
  • Experience of working on Excel, PowerPoint and other basic IT tools will be an added advantage.
  • Demonstrated experience of cultural awareness, understanding and sensitivity.
CORE  RESPONSIBILITIES, DUTIES & TASKS
 
Project co-ordination:
  • Lead the interventions as planned and approved  for Junagadh.
  • Coordination along with building capacities of the Village Facilitators (VFs) for the smooth implementation of the key programme interventions.
  • Facilitate FLIP class (a programme on education for class 3-5 students) in coordination with the Regional Manager.
  • Coordination with FLIP facilitators for smooth implementation of the weekly plan and tracking the progress of the children across the FLIP classes within regular intervals.
  • Effective management  of programmes in Junagadh including planning, implementation and consolidation in close coordination with the Team.
  • Manage project execution and  field teams (VF, Consultants, etc.) to ensure targets are met on time with better quality
  • Ability to prioritize assignments as per requirement and multitask as needed.
  • Building and maintaining rapport with community, CBOs and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Facilitate co?ordination and better integration of  education, livelihoods, women empowerment, Governance, Health, etc. at the field level.
  • Ensure quality of data collection for knowledge management, especially documentation.
Management:
  • Maintain weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual management information system/report as per the requirement.
  • Ensuring logistic support for key internal and external stakeholders, as and when  required.
  • Undertake any other task assigned by supervisor(s).
Planning:
  • Support in conducting the participatory base?line surveys and capacity building events.
  • Support in preparing detailed resource management plans to promote quality of life of beneficiaries.
  • Support in preparing action plan for the proper implementation of the activities.
Monitoring:
  • Ensuring quality of the programme through regular field visits.
  • Ensure proper selection of the beneficiaries of the program as per the prescribed criteria.
  • Willingness to travel extensively in order to ensure smooth implementation of project and quality output.
Documentation and knowledge management:
  • Developing case studies, success stories for learning and development.
  • Support innovative approaches/processes including executing pilot projects and deriving new learning insights.
Stakeholder Management:
  • Mapping relevant CBO’s, NGO’s and government agencies under the project area.
  • Cultivate and nurture effective  relationships with key stakeholders (philanthropists, corporates, agencies, government, media etc).
  • Liaise with district and block level government official for convergence and leveraging  resources for effective implementation of the programme.
 
REMUNERATION
 
Remuneration will be in line with the market rates. Salaries upwards Rs 30,000/- per month could be expected, based on evaluation of skills, with enormous opportunities for individual career growth.
