Background

The Green Climate Fund (GCF)—a critical element of the historic Paris Agreement—is the world’s largest climate fund mandated to support low-emission, climate-resilient development pathways. As an operating entity of the financial mechanism of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), GCF contributes to the goal of keeping an average global temperature rise well below two degrees Celsius.

The Fund seeks to recruit a ICT ERP and EPM Specialist Consultant to carry out the tasks, duties and responsibilities, deliver the set deliverables and provide support to the hiring unit as detailed below. The consultant will join GCF team on HQ based. The assignment is for an initial  230 days over a 12-month period. 

 

 

Role

Under the guidance of the Principal Software Architect, the ICT ERP and EPM Consultant will be responsible for supporting the implementation, maintenance, and support of Oracle ERP and EPM systems as part of the GCF Financial Management System (GFMS). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Oracle EBS, Cloud ERP, and EPM systems, as well as experience with project management, system configuration, and troubleshooting.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

The Consultant will be responsible for but not limited to:

• Support the implementation of Oracle ERP and EPM systems, including collaborating with our Oracle implementation partners.
• Perform ongoing maintenance and support of the GFMS, including system upgrades, patches, and enhancements.
• Collaborate with business users to understand their needs and provide solutions that meet new requirements.
• Develop and maintain system documentation, including system configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Troubleshoot system issues and provide timely resolutions.
• Provide training and support to end-users.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and procedures.
• Manage relationships with vendors and consultants.


Required Experience and Qualifications

• Advanced University Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field or a bachelor’s degree and 2 additional years of professional experience.
• 7+ years of experience in Oracle EBS, Cloud ERP, and EPM systems.
• Strong experience with Oracle Cloud ERP and EPM systems, including Financials, Procurement, Supply Chain, Projects, and Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service (PBCS).
• Experience integrating enterprise and cloud solutions is highly desirable.
• Experience with SAP solutions is desirable.
• Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English are essential for this position, knowledge of another UN language an advantage.
