AnushkaaFoundation for Eliminating Clubfoot’s (AFEC) purpose is transforming young lives to flourishandunleashtheirpotential. Weareworkingtoaddresstheproblemofuntreatedclubfoot in India.
Clubfoot is a congenital birth defect wherein one or both the feet are turned inwards, making it a leading cause of disability in children in the developing world. Based on global estimates, it was estimatedmorethan85%ofthechildreninlow-andmiddle-inncomecountriesdonothaveaccess to quality clubfoot treatment.
Clubfoot has an incidence rate of 1 in 800 births making it one of the largest causes of disability in children in the developing world. In India approximately 33,000 children are born with clubfoot every year i.e., almost 19% of the total global clubfoot births.
Untreated clubfoot makes it painful and difficult to walk, and such patients are at a higher risk of discrimination, neglect, sexual and physical abuse, isolation, abandonment, loss of opportunities including education and several other negative socio-economic effects on their lives.
AFECis present in 129 districts across Ten (10) states, (Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Haryana, Nagaland, Mizoram, Tripura, Karnataka and Maharashtra).
AFECimplements its program in partnership with the government. It also partners with select charitable/trust hospitals.
Weareledbyexpertsinthefieldofnon-profitmanagementandaboardofdirectorscomposedof Indian business leaders.
POSITIONSUMMARY
This position will report to Deputy Manager HR. It will be 50% Recruitment and 50% Generalist profile.
