1. Project Background

With the data ecosystem continuously evolving in the Bank, the needs to build the business intelligence (BI) applications to support more data-driven decision making are increasing dramatically, therefore we are looking for a consultant specialized in business intelligence application development, who’s able to support and enhance data team’s BI application delivery capability.

• Understand business requirements in BI context and design data models to transform raw data into meaningful insights • Utilize Power BI to build interactive and visually appealing dashboards and reports • Develop visual reports, key performance indicators scorecards, and dashboards using multi BI tools • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to dashboards and reports • Work closely with the vendor development team to identify and resolve bugs and issues • Provide recommendations to improve dashboard performance and optimize processes. • Develop and maintain documentation on dashboard design and user manual, etc.

Qualification Requirement

• Bachelor's degree in data, analytics, Information Engineering or relevant hands-on experience. • 3~5 years of experience working directly with Power BI • Extensive experience creating user-friendly, insightful and interactive reports, dashboard and scorecards using Power BI • Solid experience sourcing data from a variety of sources (databases, flat files, data gateways, etc) for complex data modeling • Hands on experience with developing and optimizing complex SQL queries to manipulate data for Business Intelligence • Strong proficiency in both Power BI languages – Power Query M and DAX • Ability to work concurrently across multiple technologies depending upon specific needs • Have demonstrable experience in visual analytics best practices, development processes, and knowledge of typical BI & analytics tools and technologies • Experience using Confluence, Github, and Jira • Experience on Spark, Python or R is a plus
