Designation: State Coordinators (Raid & Rescue)

Location: Mumbai, Maharashtra

Key Result Areas (KRAs):

• Raid and Rescue of Child Laborers

1. Ensuring regular identifications and surveys of child labour by the State Team in all the implementing States
2. Ensuring activation of DTF and regular meetings are held
3. Ensuring rescuing of the identified children in coordination with the concerned departments in all the implementing States
4. Registration of FIRs with all the relevant sections
5. Ensuring arrest of traffickers and sealing of premises
6. All the procedures of post rescue operations such as Production of Children before CWC, recording of Statement under 164, etc are properly followed and implemented.
7. Targets for rescue of children are achieved and a constant momentum for the rescue operations in all the Implementing States are maintained.

• Follow Up of the rescued children

1. Ensuring that every child rescued are followed up for proper integration and rehabilitation in the society
2. Keeping a track of the benefits received by the children so that all the available benefits and schemes can be provided or ensured
3. Ensuring maintaining of proper details of the rescued children by the State Team for easy follow up through telephonic conversations, home visits, etc
4. Ensuring letters are written on a regular basis by the State Team to the concerned departments for providing all the benefits to the rescued children at the earliest
5. Ensuring Filing of RTIs by the State Team for ensuring rehabilitation and other relevant activities of the rescued children

• Networking:

1. With Government/District Administration: for overall improvement of child protection & its strengthening.
2. Police: FIR & relevant section
3. CWCs : for rehabilitation
4. DCPU: for follow up & rehabilitation
5. CSO: for follow up, rehabilitation& rescue operation.

• Documentation of each child & networking:

1. Case Stories
2. Meetings Minutes & Process documents
3. Rehabilitation card/ document of each child
4. Follow up report from of each child.
5. Any other important document

• Miscellaneous

1. Any other tasks and activities assigned by the Supervisor.

Key Performance Indicators:

• No. of identification of children in vulnerable situation.
• No. of letters/ matters reported to child protection stake holders.
• No. of rescue operation conducted
• No. of meeting held with:

1. Police
2. District Magistrate
3. Child Welfare Committee
4. District Child Protection Unit
5. Civil Society Organizations

• No. of rescue and rehabilitation of child
• No. of convergence meetings held of above mentioned officials
• No. of success stories/case stories/most significant stories generated
• No. of children repatriated and restored.
