Mission and objectives

ACDA is an association founded in August 27, 2001 as a nonprofit organization to represent the Agoro community of Lamwo district. ACDA functions to empower the community by providing:- •Education on relevant economic and social issues •Re-establishing of community long term sustainability through lobbying for support •Increase awareness on children’s rights and responsibilities •Increasing access to educational opportunities whether formal or informal •Providing children with protection, food and clothing, medical care and counseling •Providing opportunities for recreation and learning social skills •Providing voice for the oppress and the disadvantage group in the community •And most importantly exchanging information with other local and international humanitarian organizations.

Context

We have an existing Wix website and need your help in redesigning, especially the home page. We hope you can help us improve the site structure as well. Website edit access and content (text and images) will be provided. Copywriting can be provided after we understand the new site structure. The website will help us promote the resilience of deprived communities and residents through sustainable interventions in Health, Livelihood and education with an overarching goal to educate, empower & support local adolescent girls and women who are marginalized, vulnerable, stigmatized, and left with nowhere to go.

Task description

We are looking for the support of an online volunteers with web design experience to help us redesign the Wix website, so that our content can be effectively conveyed to our audience. The online volunteer will get a certificate of appreciation at the end of the assignment
