Context
Assignment context The Resident Coordinator’s Office (RCO) is working on Aral Sea issues through the Aral Sea Trust Fund. In this context, the Partnership Support will help ensure the following: • Support the enhancement of synergies and complementarities as well as promote knowledge sharing and partnership building for increasing the delivery of impactful results in the Aral Sea Region • Assist in the facilitation of research and information exchange with partners, as well as foster dialogue on shared sustainable development priorities with development partners in the Aral Sea Region • Contribute to the development of relevant materials related in support of advancing sustainable development in the Aral Sea Region
Task description
Task description Under the direct supervision of the Development Coordination Officer for Partnerships and Development Finance, the UN Remote/Online Volunteer will undertake the following tasks: • Support at least 40 hours of research work related to Aral Sea issues; • Provide at least 40 hours of support in outreach activities (i.e., identification of contact points, preparation and set up of meetings, conference calls, and/or missions) to build relationships with development partners; • Contribute to the preparation of various supporting materials for outreach activities by developing at least 10 short materials (briefings/background papers, concept notes, PowerPoint presentations, etc.); and • Help identify new knowledge management tools as a new dynamic way to engage and motivate development partners).
