Your tasks

  • (Psychosocial) needs analysis of the target groups and incorporation of the results into the programme implementation.
  • Concept development, planning, implementation and monitoring of psychosocial activities in partnership with the Jesuits and staff.
  • Contact person for the Jesuits’ psychosocial activities in South Sudan and, if required, representation of the Jesuits in relevant committees.
  • Professional support to selected case workers and disseminators in the communities who offer support to people affected by violence.
  • Providing support in activities with children, young people and adults, as well as development of training modules and measures to raise awareness.
  • Responsibility for the proper spending and management of funds locally in accordance with the donor and AGIAMONDO guidelines. In this task, you will work in partnership with the staff of the partner organisation.

 

Your profile

  • You have completed a Master’s degree in, for example, psychology, social work, social sciences or another relevant subject.
  • You have several years of professional experience in a multicultural environment as well as in psychosocial individual and group support. Knowledge of reconciliation work is an advantage.
  • You are familiar with the IASC MHPSS guidelines and human rights. 
  • Initial experience of working and living in South Sudan is an advantage.
  • You hold a category B driving licence and have a business-fluent command of English. Knowledge of Arabic is an advantage. 
  • You are an EU or Swiss citizen and identify with the goals and concerns of church development and peace work.
