1. Project Brief: The lifestyle of today’s generation is leading towards a future where resources are going to be diminished and scarce. To address the situation and complement the objectives of Mission LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment), launched by Govt of India to nudge individual and community action to protect and preserve the environment. A behavioural change project through Storytelling sessions on the concept of 4R – Respect, Reduce, Recycle, and Reuse using the concept of “Mottainai Grandma” (A Japanese picture book translated in different languages) with the school children.

The project is supported by one of the leading Japanese Corporates based in India as part of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and co-funded by ETPA Foundation for Social Development to enable communities to prosper through mindful utilisation of resources. The project will be implemented across 100 Gram Panchayats in the states of Haryana and Maharashtra engaging school children and community members. The project aims at inculcating positive behaviours among the target groups through raising their awareness and taking environment-friendly actions.

ETPA Foundation for Social Development is established by the promoters of IJ Kakehashi Services Pvt. Ltd (www.ijkakehashi.com) which is a 17-year-old organization working towards strengthening the linkages between India and Japan.

2. Position: Development Practitioner (DP) - 2 open positions

Work Location: Haryana - 1 & Maharashtra -1

Role Overview:
-- Development Practitioner will lead the project to ensure its timely deliverables.
-- Responsible for the overall project management in the district, ensuring timely quality implementation of project activities.
-- Ensure the project resources deployed and allocated are placed suitably as per the requirements and implementation plan.
-- Supportive supervision of project activities in the field
-- Liaising and networking with the relevant stakeholders and the concerned Block and District level officials.
-- Responsible for project process and result documentation for capturing the project learnings and its dissemination to various stakeholders.
-- Maintain close coordination and relationships with internal and external project stakeholders.
-- Ensure preparation and timely submission of progress & financial reports.
-- The incumbent would be based at district headquarters and report to the Project lead

Qualification & Skills Required:
-- Post graduate in Social Work, Sciences or equivalent. from a reputed institute/university
-- Candidate with 4+ years of robust experience in managing social projects.
-- Strong administrative, organisational project management, time management, and attention to details of the project.
-- Knowledge and experience of Government relations and liaising.
-- Strong written and spoken English as well as the vernacular language of the state specified above (Ex: If one is applying for Maharashtra, must be proficient in Marathi)
-- Ability to work independently and as good team player
-- Ability to multitask (comfortable switching back and forth between several tasks)
-- Strong proficiency in MS Office and online systems.
-- Documentation with photography and videography of project execution in the field
