The Department of Coordinated Resource Mobilization leads an organization-wide coordinated resource mobilization network to foster strategic, consistent and coordinated financing of WHO's General Programme of Work and its biennial Programme Budgets. In so doing the Department promotes the principles of:

(i) alignment of funding to WHO's Programme Budget,

(ii) predictability and flexibility of funding,

(iii) reduced vulnerabilities in WHO's funding and

(iv) transparency and reporting on WHO's funding and programme outcomes.


DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

A. Strategic leadership responsibilities.

B. Donor leadership and coordination responsibilities.

C. Organization-wide leadership and coordination responsibilities.

D. Department management and organizational leadership responsibilities.

Experience

Essential: Minimum of 15 years' experience in the area of resource mobilization in an international, inter-governmental, non-governmental or UN organization or in a major donor entity. Demonstrated career of increasing level of responsibilities, with at least 7 of the 15 years of experience serving in a senior management position with responsibility for leading resource mobilization activities at national and/or international levels, preferably in a large international organization.

Desirable: Substantial experience mobilizing resources on a scale commensurate with or greater than the annual requirements of WHO.
