The Barefoot College and Bishop Elias Taban were recipients of the Clinton Global Service Award in 2013. Their meeting kicked off an extraordinary partnership that has culminated with expanding the Barefoot experience into Africa. Each of the five training centers will replicate Tilonia’s Barefoot College.
Barefoot International is working with 17 different countries in Latin America. The first 70 solar engineers have already brought light to more than 11,000 people.
