Is it worth the effort for Indian Nationals to apply to the UN?

India has the world’s largest population and a large number of highly educated citizens.

In the most recent country representation release of the United Nations, India is considered over-represented, which closes all doors for Indian nationals to be selected for a staff position (FTA) at the UN secretariat. 

Hence, for now, it is not worth the effort for Indian nationals to apply for a staff position at the UN Secretariat position. 

In this article, I will explain what over-representation means to Indian nationals.
