In this sector, many international organizations use geographic quotas as part of their hiring process. This means your nationality can play a significant role in how competitive your application is especially if your country is non-represented or underrepresented within that organization.

In cases where two candidates have similar qualifications, the one from an underrepresented country often has a greater chance of advancing due to the organization's diversity and quota targets.
