Being Qualified Isn’t Enough: Can You Explain Why You?

You can meet every requirement in a job description and still leave an employer unsure whether you are the right person. You can have the degree, the experience, the technical skills, and the international exposure. Then someone asks: “Why do you want this job?” That is where qualifications stop being enough. Your experience shows what you can do.

Your application also needs to show why it matters here, why this is the right next step, and what you want to contribute. 

A useful framework is: Why you? Why now? Why this role?
