What is a National Volunteer, compared to an International Volunteer? 

Being a national UN Volunteer means that the ’assignment’ takes place in your own country of nationality, i.e. they are not open for candidates from other countries. It's as simple as that. However, when it comes to minimum requirements, also a national UN volunteer assignment requires that you have 2 years of relevant work-experience and a first level degree.
