Impactpool has a deep-rooted commitment in promoting social justice and decent work for people with disabilities. It is part of our work to bring as much information as we can to break barriers by including and informing all our members regardless of race, gender, nationality, social status etc how to land a job that will result in a positive impact.

As the world commemorates International Day of Persons with Disabilities, we would like to share a short piece of information to encourage anyone with a disability but also remind Organizations about the work still needed to be done for an inclusive workforce.

Never assume disabled people can’t enter a particular career. Nursing, teaching, sport, law, IT, banking and finance, children's rights, administrative support – you name it – there are disabled people working in every imaginable field. Many people have been discouraged by someone at some point in their careers, but it is important to persevere, take advantage of any available support and try to get the skills and knowledge you need for whatever job appeals to you. Do not be discouraged as many of the Organizations are becoming more inclusive and accomodating.

The theme for International Day of Persons with Disabilities  2022  is “Transformative solutions for inclusive development: the role of innovation in fuelling an accessible and equitable world”.
