UNHCR calls for young professionals (US funded JPO positions)

The USA is UNHCR's largest donor. In 2018, the USA contributed with 3x more funds than the EU. In numbers, the 2018 US contribution to UNHCR was $1'589'776,543. UNHCR is an important organization for the USA. To build future capacity the USA is now investing in young professionals by sponsoring several Junior Professional Officers (JPO) positions. A JPO position is an international professional role targeting young professional at the age of 25-35 years. Historically, the JPO program is a unique chance for young talents to get training and exposure to UNHCR's humanitarian work either in field assignment or at headquarters and hence kickstart their UN career.
