Who Can Apply?

Applicants must be 15 to 35 years old at the time of application.

A working-level proficiency in English is required.

Expectations and Responsibilities
As a Young Changemaker for the SDGs, you will:

Actively participate in advocacy efforts, including public speaking engagements and campaigns.

Attend select global events, either virtually or in person, to represent youth perspectives.

Serve as a youth advocate, contributing to UN discussions on sustainable development.

Engage with fellow Young Changemakers and the UN Youth Office throughout the two-year term.

Young Leaders Through the Years
In September 2016, the Office of the UN Secretary-General’s Envoy on Youth unveiled the Young Leaders for the SDGs — 17 young change-makers whose leadership is catalyzing the achievement of the Goals. Since then, a new cohort of Young Leaders has been selected on a biennial basis for their leadership and contribution to a more sustainable world.
