Her work has taken her from Kabul to Kenya , Yemen to Syria, Egypt to Afghanistan and Pakistan. Salma has worked with UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador Mia Farrow, UN Education Envoy Gordon Brown, UN Peace Ambassador Malala and her teacher Mariam Khalique.
