MAMTA Health Institute for Mother and Child (MAMTA-HIMC) is a leading national-level NGO which works across 20 states in India. It is a not-for-profit institution registered under society Registration Act 1956.

MAMTA’s journey began in the urban slums of New Delhi in 1990 in the field of mother and child health and nutrition. In the last 30 years, MAMTA has evolved in to a leading, multi-pronged, national level institution that has focused on empowering people and communities; building capacities; forging partnerships and alliances; building evidences on implementation as a science to advance policy and programme investments for health and nutrition of the marginalized.

MAMTA works through the mechanism of direct intervention, community mobilization, health system strengthening, networking and policy advocacy in close partnership with government and public health systems, civil societies, academic institutions, corporate sector and the community at large. MAMTA extends its work in four broad thematic areas:

• Maternal and Child Health and Nutrition (MCHN)
• Youth Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (YSRHR)
• Communicable Diseases (CDs) such as HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis, Hepatitis ‘B’ & ‘C’
• Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs)

The organization has a strong team of 850 fulltime staff with multi-disciplinary senior and middle management teams. The MAMTA team, along with 136 NGO partners, is driving the health and empowerment agenda in India and across borders. In addition to India, last decade has observed spread of our work as a technical support agency to countries of South and South East Asian region as well. MAMTA is seeking applications for post of Program Manager – For the Parivartan project supported by Relaxo with the aim of holistic development of 27 primary and upper primary schools of Laksar district, Haridwar in the state of Uttarakhand. The project intervention focuses on adapting and integrating joyful learning methodologies within the ongoing school curriculum while strengthening the life skills, self-efficacy, health, and wellness outcomes of students. The intervention applies a gender transformative approach aiming to strengthen the learning eco-system while enhancing stakeholder competencies while providing mentoring and handholding support to teachers, parents, and members of the school management committee and sharing the findings with the officials of the Department of education for replication and sustainability of the initiative.

Scope of work:

Educational Qualifications, Experiences & Skills:
• Master’s Degree in sociology, social work, education, gender or equivalent discipline.
• 3-5 years’ of experience is a must in the development sector.
• Strong written and oral communication skills in Hindi and English.
• Strong skills and ability to tailor messages for a different audience.
• High level of coordination and multi-tasking skills with attention to detail.
• Leading the team at district level.
• Planning and implementation of the project at the field level, Responsible for proactively monitoring and leading the project field team.
• Ensuring the appropriate level of quality work, on time and within budget, in accordance with the project plan.
• Managing communication with all stakeholders.
• Reporting the project's progress on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
• Liasoning with different departments of the education system at the district level.
• Must have basic computer competencies and data presentation skills.
Must have strong report-writing skills
