EXECUTION & OPERATIONAL MANAGEMENT:
⢠To coordinate the operationalization of all programs including core and bilateral programs being implemented across south India.
⢠To ensure that all the projects and programs are efficiently executive with the perspective understanding of dealing with structural poverty and in accordance with the current vision and mission of the organization;
⢠To visit the program area to undertake monitoring and accompaniment visits during which the progress of the program is to be verified and corrective measures to be taken in consultation with the staff and zone.
⢠To hold meetings with the apex bodies of peopleâs organizations at the field level to assess their ownership and conceptual understanding of the issues and processes.
⢠To organize periodical Planning and Review Meetings with program staff at the zonal level as part of the PME system for Planning, Monitoring, and Evaluation of the planned activities and take mid-term strategic corrections and adjustments if needed.
⢠To assess the achievements of specific goals/objectives and suggest corrective measures if required.
⢠Ensuring institutionalization of cross-cutting themes of CASA such as OIO, Gender Equity, LCP, Capacity Building Strategies, DRR / Climate Change, etc. in the program.
⢠To consolidate/verify periodical reports of all the programs for onward submission to the Chief Zonal Officer (CZO).
⢠As and when required, should be part of National Policy and strategy debates and must attend such meetings with all relevant data, information, and reports, including the disaggregated data of the reference community;
⢠Promote strategic relationships with other civil society organizations/networks, training institutions, and other such organizations whose help can be taken for adding qualitative value to CASAâs program activities;
⢠To keep the CZO updated on programmatic matters and staff movements at the field level on a day-to-day basis;
⢠To seek CZOâs approval on all staff administrative matters and submit an indent for any vacancy that needs to be filled in;
⢠To recommend staff leave applications and other personnel matters as per the requirements under the HR Policy of CASA to the CZO for approval.
⢠To ensure coordinated efforts among different stakeholders in the state ecosystem.
⢠To complete the HR appraisal of the staff working under him / her by the end of April every year and to complete the yearly goal setting of the same staff for the next financial year by the end of January of every calendar year.
⢠The financial health of the project is assessed in accordance with the approved budget.
⢠To execute administrative functions as laid down /required in the policies of the organization related to staff and their functions.
⢠To organize periodic reviews/evaluations of different projects.
POLICY & PLANNING:
⢠To organize brainstorming sessions inviting CASAâs staff and other stakeholders of CASA around the issues, which adds value to policy formulation in the organization.
⢠To take part and contribute effectively in the national/regional programs related to the policy formulation process internal as well as external.
⢠To take part in all the meetings called by management at the national level and contribute to the organizational plan.
LINKING & NETWORKING:
⢠To organize/participate programme related to perspective building of committees/network/staff around thematic issues.
⢠To coordinate and facilitate with state units linkages among all stakeholders within the state ecosystem.
⢠To facilitate establishing strong networks in the state through respective state units.
⢠To establish civil society networks at the state and national level.
⢠To create space for internships at other institutions
⢠To liaisons with other agencies and departments
CAPACITY BUILDING:
⢠To conduct TNA for staff/partners and community leaders.
⢠To identify individuals/institutions and list/profile them for capturing different training need requirements.
⢠To organize tailor-made /general training and send patients for the capacity-building program.
⢠To organize an induction program for newly appointed staff and a refresher program for taking stalks and planning for the future.
⢠To take stalk of the learning incorporated by the training of different capacity-building initiatives, analyze their experiences, and design future courses of action.
INFORMATION / KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT:
⢠Documenting best practices by encouraging staff to share their experiences in writing, interviews, discussions, and explorations.
⢠Learning is shared widely within the organization for wider dissemination.
⢠Encouraging staff and supporting them on how to document best practices.
⢠Ensuring that the learning is being incorporated into the planning process.
⢠Encouraging staff to provide write-ups for the organization newsletter.
